Welcome to the ALPHA webpage.  I am Kerry Keller and I will be working with the ALPHA students this year.

I have taught all grades K - 6 in my 31 year teaching career. I have been actively teaching the gifted and talented students for the last 23 years.  I understand that children of exceptional intelligence require motivation and support, and I strongly believe in providing challenging activities that help stretch their imagination while focusing on skills that help them be independent learners.

We focus on the scholarly behaviors and practice depth and complexity throughout all the units we study.  We are a very hands-on class as we work on the academic portion of the units.  We also incorporate the emotional aspect of being gifted through class discussions at the beginning of each class.

Students who come to ALPHA will find themselves involved with fun and challenging projects that will enrich their vocabulary and stretch their thinking while creating an inner drive to learn.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions about the program.
