The Brandeis High School Vocal Music Program consists of five vocal ensembles: Varsity Men's Choir, Advanced Treble Choir, Treble Choir, Treble Vocal Jazz and Junior Varsity Men's Choir. Our vocal music curriculum also features private vocal and/or piano lessons that occur during the school day for a nominal fee paid directly to an NISD licensed private music instructor. The Brandeis choirs compete annually in UIL choir and solo contests and present at least four campus concerts each year.
Rebecca Dawson serves as Choir Director. This is her 29th year of teaching. She holds degrees from Baylor University and West Texas State University. Prior appointments have been at the middle school, high school, junior college and university levels. Her choirs have been recognized at national choral music festivals and they are consistently awarded superior ratings at UIL competitions.
