Maureen Lopez, RN, School Nurse
A Reminder from the Nurse
When a child becomes ill at school, every effort will be made to contact the parent first. If the parent is unable to come for the child, the parent must make arrangements for pick-up.
NISD (D-9) and Galm (p.6) student handbooks ask that students be kept at home when ill and that they are temperature (100+ degrees) free for 24 hours before returning to school.
Over the counter (OTC) medications (Aspirin, Tylenol, Cold/Cough medicine cannot be brought to school for the child or nurse to administer.
Please call Maureen Lopez, RN with any questions @ 397-1159 –Galm clinic.
