Welcome to Mrs. Esquivel's Page!

Kids with Welcome to our School Sign

Welcome to PPCD!  My name is Nancy Esquivel and I have been teaching the Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities since 2001.  I graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University with a BS in Special Education.    I taught at Meadow Village Elementary for the first six years of my career and Driggers Elementary is my new home. Go Mighty HOUNDS Go!  I look forward to working with all my students and their families.

The PPCD program consists of students from 3-6 years of age. We provide early intervention to students with various disabilities.  This year we will be working on a Pre-K Collaborative Model, which will allow full-inclusion with our same-age peers.  The PPCD students and Pre-K students will be rotating between both classrooms.  Teachers will be working together closely to plan exciting and fun activities that promote learning to the highest degree.  We will be using the Pre-K Curriculum and High/Scope Framework.  Active Learning is the main focus in my classroom.  Everything we do is hands-on and multi-sensory.  This is where we make LEARNING FUN!

Thanks so much for allowing me to be part of your child's life.  TEAMWORK! Let's work together and help our students be successful.  I look forward to a Wonderful Year!!!
