The counselors are happy to assist all Pease Middle School students with their social and emotional needs. To that end, we provide a guidance program through the classes at each grade level, responsive services (such as groups), and individual planning (such as meeting with students concerning registration and magnet school selection) . We also create or facilitate those events, both academic and emotional, that enhance the school's performance.

As defined in the developmental guidance program described above, the purpose of the guidance model is to assist students develop the skills they need to enhance their personal, social, educational, and career development. The Pease guidance curriculum is designed to help students aquire age-appropriate knowledge and skills within the scope of the following content areas:

  • self-confidence development
  • motivation to achieve
  • decision-making, goal-setting, and problem-solving skills
  • interpersonal effectiveness
  • communication skills
  • cross-cultural effectiveness
  • responsible behavior

We also do system support by helping with Parent information nights such as how to help your child become successful, Pre AP parent night, AVID night, etc.  Please look for flyers, our webpage, and call outs about these great programs.

*Please take a few moments to access your child's counselor's web page (see name on the left). On those pages you can read all the counselors' bios and preview guidance lessons.
