1. What is Intramurals?
Intramurals is a voluntary basis after school sports program. Students do not have to come every day in order to be involved. We will play pick-up style games based on the number of students who show up each time.
2. What sports will be played?
We will start with flag football for a few weeks, and then when the gyms are available, we will play basketball. Other sports will vary based on student interest and availability. Some other possibilities include soccer and volleyball.
3. When is Intramurals?
Intramurals will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:45pm to 5:30 pm. Please arrange parents to pick you up promptly. The last week of games ends May 10.
4. Who can go to Intramurals?
Any 6th, 7th, and 8th grader can go to Intramurals. Similar to other after school activities, students who were in ISS or suspended that day cannot come to Intramurals. We will do our best to make teams based on grade level, student height, ability, etc to make play as fair as possible.
5. Where is Intramurals?
This will depend on the sport we are playing. When we play flag football, meet on the practice football field outside already dressed out, ready to play. If we are playing basketball, meet in the boys’ gym. If track is holding practice still, wait in the gym hallway. Listen to the announcements for any changes due to weather.
6. What do I need to bring?
Come to intramurals dressed out ready for the sport. Also, take with you any belongings (backpacks, instruments, etc), as you will not have access to lockers (including gym lockers) or the band hall after Intramurals. Most importantly, bring your friends!
**Every student must have a signed permission slip by a parent to participate!!**
