Smith, Billie

Math 7 and 7 Pre-AP

Hello Patriots!!!

I want to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Billie Smith, your 7th Grade teacher for this school year. I am going into my 11th year teaching. I graduated in 2002 from UTSA with a degree in education. I completed my Master's in Education Administration in May 2010.  Boy am I excited to have that behind me! :)

I have been married to my husband, Glen, for 10 years, but we've been together for 16 years.  We have one daughter, Faith, who is 8 years old and is a third grader.  She can be every bit of a challenge, but every minute is worth it. Her red hair says it all.

I am looking forward to a wonderful, exciting and challenging year for you, as well as for myself. The following are my expectations and goals I will be using in my classroom.

Expectations : I expect you to come prepared and ready to learn. Our class philosophy is that "We Are DISTINGUISHED Test Takers." I am looking for quality work and the desire to learn more. Student planners will be used to keep track of daily activities. Please also use your passing period wisely. Make sure bathroom breaks are taken between classes, although I do understand emergencies arise.

Goals : My goal for this year is to challenge you to strive to do your best at ALL times. Don’t give up and let’s have fun learning MATH.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
