Important Information

7th and 8th Grade Registration for 2014-2015

In house registration is taking place Friday, March 21st. Students will receive their course cards during 1st period, in order to gain recommendations from teachers. Course cards will go home on Friday afternoon and should be returned to your child's 4th period teacher, Monday, March 24th. Courses will be input in our scheduling system on Friday, March 28th. A letter will be generated and mailed home, in April, stating the classes for which your child registered. Attached in our "Helpful Handouts" section are copies of our 7th grade and 8th grade course cards for your reference.

High School Registration for 2014-2015

In house registration for Brandeis HS, O'Connor HS, and Northside Magnet Schools is taking place the week of March 17-21st. All high school course cards are due Friday, March 21st, to your child's 8th period teacher. Courses will be input in our scheduling system on Friday, March 28th. A letter will be generated and mailed home, in April, stating the classes for which your child registered.

The Prefreshman Engineering Program (PREP), founded by Dr. Manuel Berriozábal in 1979, identifies achieving middle and high school students with an interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), and provides an academic curriculum to increase their potential for careers in these areas. The Prefreshman Engineering Program is a four-year mathematics-based summer program, seven weeks duration. Pioneered in San Antonio, Texas, as a partnership of colleges and universities, as well as, public and private schools, PREP has been replicated throughout the nation.

The deadline for applications for the 2014 San Antonio PREP session is January 31, 2014; applications can be found at All applications must be complete and postmarked by 01/31/2014 to be eligible for consideration.
