About Luna Choir

"I do not sing because I'm happy,

I'm happy because I sing."

~William James

Choir is...

Choir is a class at Luna!  I get to see my students everyday.  We learn about many different types of music, and we get to perform.  We learn how to read music and how to perform with expression.  We are not here simply to sing; we are here to become good musicians, good students, and good citizens!

Choir Directors:

Jessica Logan and Emily Harwood

At Luna we believe that ALL students can learn and we will do whatever it takes to offer you the tools you need.   We believe choir is a tool for learning about life, and we are grateful everyday that we get to share music all of you!

FYI...

According to T.E.A., secondary schools with higher student enrollment in fine arts programs have higher accountability ratings, higher standardized test scores (STAAR), higher attendence rates, higher graduation rates, and lower numbers of incident reports/discipline problems.

In choosing to become part of a music ensemble you have chosen to improve your life and gain useful skills for your future.  You will work with a team, set goals in group and individual settings, learn to be accountable, listen better, gain confidence, perform in public, and become a better citizen and student.  Congratulations on making this choice!
