College and Career Center

Welcome to the College & Career Center! The Health Careers High School College & Career Center is "Command Central" for a variety of resources available to our students. Students can find information on any college and any major. Our center also has a wealth of information on every medical career, including necessary preparation, length of training, employment opportunity, and expected salary. Although we are a medical magnet school, our resources are not confined to medical careers. Any university or career that might interest a student can be researched right here! Please use the links below to find updated resources and information.

Please drop by and introduce yourself to our College & Career Advisor, Ms.Zandra Cook, located upstairs in Room 211.

Ms. Cook is a graduate of Health Careers HS and received her bachelor’s degree from Baylor University. While at Baylor, she worked in the admissions department, reading essays and helping reach out to prospective students through college fairs and on campus recruitment events.

The College & Career Center is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 4:30pm, including during both A and B Lunch. Students and parents can also make appointments to see Ms. Cook if it is outside of these times.

In order to contact Ms. Cook, you can send her an email by clicking on her name above or she can be reached by phone at 210-397-5440.

If you are a college or university representative, a campus visit may be scheduled by contacting Ms. Cook by phone or email. Representatives may visit campus at one of two times:

-Before school from 8:00am to 8:45 or

-During A & B Lunch from 12:00 to 1:45
