Talent Show Date has been moved: Thursday May 16th tickets are $5 presale with smart ID, $6 presale and at the door without smart ID. No smart ID discounts available at the door.
  • SMART ID's must be returned to the campus at the end of the school year.  Lost or Defaced ID's must be paid for. Cost: $15.00. Seniors, please make sure they are aware of this as well.  All Fees / debts must be paid for before graduation.

    * Prom was a great success. Prom DVD's are still on sale in room B232. Cost $15.

Prom FAQ’s


Prom was a GREAT success. Seniors danced the night away. Video of the night is still available cost for the DVD is $15 price includes 2 DVD's of seniors on the dance floor and a CD of all of the pictures taken the photobooth.

Where is prom?

  • Valero “The Vista” ballroom-Located just inside IH 10 and Loop 1604 West.

Can I bring someone that does not go to Jay to the prom?

  • All non-Jay student dates must be approved by administration. There is a form that must be filled out and turned in by the deadline.
  • Forms can be picked up and dropped off with Mrs. Martinez, the Assistant Principals (AP) Secretary
  • Forms will be available closer to prom date.

Will I be able to attend the prom if I owe fines to the school?

  • You will not be allowed to purchase a ticket or enter the prom if you owe finds to the school
  • You can see Mrs. Bergevin in the AP office to check to see if you have fines.

How much are prom tickets?

  • Prom ticket prices will be announced after the majority of the senior fundraising activities have been held.
  • Based on projected success from other fundraisers ticket prices will start at approximately $40 per person. Price is subject to change based on school year fundraising success.

When can I purchase prom tickets?

  • Prom tickets will go on sale approximately 3 weeks before the prom date.
  • Ticket prices will increase by $10 each week.

Where can I purchase prom tickets?

  • Tickets will be on sale during all lunch periods in the bookroom located in the cafeteria.

Thank you to the 35 seniors and their families that participated. We had 20 students earn a free shirt, 8 win a free prom ticket and shirt and 2 students that won 2 free prom tickets, t-shirt and a sweatshirt. Prizes will be available for pick up Tues. January 22 in B232.

  • Pre Sale Tickets go on sale during all lunches week of 16th.
  • Ticket prices are
    • $5 with smart ID (presale only) students can buy multiple tickets for family
    • $6 presale without smart ID
    • $7 at the door NO DISCOUNTS for smart ID at the door.
  • Talent show has sold out every year for the last 4 years get your ticket early or you may not get in
  • Friends and family will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite act the night of the show
    • $1 per vote

I had a name change who do I notify so my diploma shows the change?


  • If you have had a legal name change you can see Mrs. Akin, the Principal’s Secretary, to fill out information to change the diploma.

What is project graduation?

  • Project Graduation is a program offered by many high schools in the United States, in which organized, adult-supervised and alcohol-free activities are offered as part of a post-graduation party, in lieu of student-run events with alcohol or drugs.
