Mrs. Colvin, Librarian

Welcom to the Elrod Library

  Mission of the Elrod Library

A message from Mrs. Colvin, Elrod Librarian:

Our goal in the Elrod Library is to create a welcoming environment for all our students, our staff and our parents.  We strive to assist everyone in finding great books to read and in locating information.  For grades Pre-K through second grade, our educational program in the library includes author studies, book care, locating books in all areas of the library, and fostering a love of reading.  In the upper grades, our students use the Dewey Decimal System, online resources, the research process, Webcat, and participate in the Bluebonnet Award program.  The Elrod Library provides relevant resources to enrich our curriculum as well as providing good literature and materials for recreational reading.
