Counselors

Jefferson Middle School Guidance Program Mission

Wallace B. Jefferson Middle School Counseling and Guidance Department believes in fostering a community of lifetime learners.  In partnership with parents, teachers, administration, and the community, counselors work with students to achieve educational, career, personal, and social development for students.

With NISD's Counseling and Guidance Department components as our guide, the Jefferson counseling staff embraces the opportunity to build healthy relationships with students through guidance curriculum (teaching skills such as communication, responsibility, conflict resolution, etc.), individual planning (goal setting), responsive services (individual and group counseling), and systems support (supporting the overall school program).  Through goal setting, skill development, and achievement of high standards, Jefferson students are encouraged to become examples of good character; soaring towards success, both in and out of the classroom.
