Sarah Sharp

Welcome to Art with Ms. Sharp!

Dubuffet The Great Wave, HokusaiMarilyn, Warhol

Hello, my name is Sarah Sharp! I'm very excited to teach the fundamentals of  visual arts and art history to the kids of Charles Kuentz Jr. Elementary this year. This is my 9th year teaching art. I attended school in NISD from 1st-12th grades (Northwest Crossing E.S., Adams Hill E.S., Zachary M.S., & Taft H.S.) I graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a degree in Painting & Drawing (Studio Arts), and have a Master of Arts in Art Education from Boston University. I've had painting and fiber art in shows locally, in Chicago, and even the Czech Republic! Here are some examples of my work:

Sharp- MOving Targets, Preserving Hegemony, 2003 Sharp, Untitled 2001 Sharp- Continuum, 2000

In my spare time I enjoy traveling, painting, building stuff, and trying all kinds of new experiences! A few summers ago I even got to try sandboarding- here's a picture:

Thank you for all your support! The Art Department is fully stocked with brand new art supplies for the year, but if you'd like to make a donation we can always use clean paper towel or toilet paper tubes, scraps of material, clear plastic containers with lids, newspapers, and old "Dad" t-shirts (to use as smocks).

Please feel free to contact me at: My conference time is 10:55am-11:30am daily, and my phone number is: 210.397.8050 ext. 3123.
