Welcome to the Stinson Counseling Department!

Stinson counselors offer a district and state mandated four component program.  These components include:

Classroom Guidance:  Counselors visit classrooms to teach lessons about such topics as handling bullies, improving communication skills and how to be a team player.

Responsive Services: Responsive Services consist of group and individual counseling.  Groups support students as they learn to cope with stress, manage anger, make new friends and even come to terms with parents being deployed.

Individual Planning: In the Individual Planning component, students are offered a variety of options as they navigate course planning and especially high school course selection.

System Support:  Counselors support the overall educational program in many ways.  Registration, parenting programs and the district/state testing program are just a few of the opportunities that counselors have to support students at Stinson Middle School .
