Liza Mireles: Librarian

Hi, I'm Liza Mireles, and I'm thrilled to be the librarian at Dr. Sara B. McAndrew Elementary.

I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Reading from the University of Texas at Brownsville.  I began my teaching career in Brownsville ISD, where I taught 8th grade English for four years.

I went back to earn my Master of Library Science Degree from Sam Houston State University, and moved to San Antonio. I was hired by Northside ISD, and worked as the librarian at Lawrence Powell Elementary for the last fifteen years.

Opening a new school has been a dream and a personal goal that has finally come true!  I am happy to be surrounded by so many friendly and supportive families!
