Ruby Salazar

It's hard to believe that we are already into the second semester of first grade! Students have been working hard. This is my favorite time of year in first grade because my students are now "true" first graders.   Gone are the days of students feeling like they can't do much.

They are now very confident and take all that I am teaching them and run with it! They love to read, they love to write, and they love to explore. Their thirst for knowledge is truly amazing. They are the reason I love what I do and I do what I love!

This is my 19th year of teaching. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades. I have spent the majority of my teaching career in 1st grade. First grade is where my heart is. I consider myself blessed to be able to come to work everyday and be able to do something I am quite passionate about.
