Michelle Farias

Stuffie School

I was born in San Antonio, and I have lived here most of my life.  After graduating from Churchill High School, I attended U.T.S.A. where I earned my B.A. in English and my M.A. in Educational Psychology.  I taught English at Harlandale High School before starting my counseling career in the East Central School District.  I moved to Austin to work as a counselor in the Lake Travis School District.  I earned my state counseling license (L.P.C.) while in Austin.  My husband and I returned to San Antonio after our daughter was born.  Since returning to San Antonio, I worked at NAMS South as a counselor and teacher, I taught psychology at the University of the Incarnate Word, and I had my own counseling practice.  I am now happy to be the counselor at NAMS North.
