About our Classroom

About Our Classroom

Here at Scarborough we are fortunate to be a part of the Preschool Collaboration Model. This means that our general and special education students are educated in the same setting. Our students consist of the four year old students that meet the NISD Preschool Criterion and 3-5 year olds that are eligible for Preschool Programs for Children with Disabilities (PPCD).  Due to this, we are lucky to have two classroom teachers and three instructional assistants.

Our Classroom Teachers: Jennifer Bishop (general education) and Jackie Meyer (special education)

Instructional Assistants: Margaret Corpus and Gloria Elizalde

Our preschool program is a 1/2 day session, Monday-Friday. We engage the students in music, movement and learning through hands on activities. Currently our classroom uses the High/Scope and Frog Street Press curriculum.
