Clark Graduation Coach
Dr. Ferguson is responsible for working with Administration/Counseling in helping direct Students to support services at Clark High School. In addition, she supports teachers during the RtI process in order to assist in addressing students’ needs. This also entails researching and gathering historic/current data on student academic performance. She also works in and helps manage the HUB during Before & After School Tutoring. Mrs Ferguson also works with our 9th grade Ambassadors that provide student mentoring/leadership through the Connections Program. She provides the curriculum and works with volunteer teachers that implement this support program for freshmen.
Dr. Ferguson has taught elementary, middle, high school, junior college, and currently teaches as an adjunct professor at the university level. She is currently certified to teach all subjects grades 1-8 and Reading and ESL grades 1-12. She also has a certification in Administration. Dr. Ferguson has a B.A. in ECE/Elementary Education (UTSA, 1988), an M.A. in Curriculum & Instruction - Reading & Writing (CU-Denver, 1992), and a doctorate in Educational Leadership (UTSA, 2006). Dr. Ferguson has two grown daughters and has lived in Indiana, South Carolina, Massachusetts, Germany, Washington, Virginia, Colorado, and the great state of Texas. Nominated NISD Secondary Educator of Year for 2011.
