Welcome Back Woodchucks! 2013-2014 School Year!
I have been in education for 23 years as a teacher and a counselor. I have a master's degree in education and a master's degree in school counseling. I will be the guidance counselor for Pre-k through 5th grade. My job entails making regularly scheduled visits to the classrooms to teach students about the 6 Pillars of Character that Northside supports. These pillars include: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship. I also see students on an individual basis with parent permission, and have groups to address such topics as: Friendship Skills, Divorce, Behavior, Test Anxiety and Self-Esteem.
I plan the BOY (Beginning of the Year) Rally, Red Ribbon Week, Character Counts Week, No Name Calling Week, Kindness Week, Declaration of Respect Signing, Multicultural Day, Student Ambassadors, etc. I work closely with C.I.S. to help families with a variety of needs.
If you have any questions or would like my assistance, please feel free to call me at
I am "WILD" about our students!
