My name is Karen Littlewood. I'm very proud to be the vice principal at V. A. Myers Elementary home of the eagles.
Welcome to the Myers Eagles family where we all work together to provide the most rewarding education for your children. This would not be possible without the exceptional support of our many families of whom we thank very much. We are committed to challenging all Myers Elementary children to reach their highest potential.
Just a little background about myself...I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at the University of Northern Iowa and later my Masters Degree in Education Leadership at UTSA.
My teaching experience includes 12 years in the Edgewood Independent School District where I taught kindergarten, first and second grade for four years. I was then lucky enough to teach in a literacy based computer lab for three years with pre-k through sixth graders. The last 5 years I was in in EISD, I was an instructional specialist assisting teachers and students in all content areas in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade.
Then, as Dr. Folks would say, "I came to the promise land." For the past 15 years I have been privileged to teach in Northside ISD. I started out as a Campus Instructional Technologist for 3 years at Meadow Village Elementary. Since then, I have been a proud vice principal at Myers Elementary.
I look forward to continuing to work with our families, staff and community at V. A. Myers Elementary. We are building career and college ready champions!
