I am proud to say that I am a NISD graduate who is excited to work in the same district that paved the way for where I am today. I attended Ed Cody Elementary and then Pease Middle School. I’m a proud John Jay Graduate. After High School, I attended UTSA to follow my passion and become a teacher. I graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor in Interdisciplinary Studies and a specialization in English. I was lucky enough to obtain a teaching job at Zachry middle school where I taught Reading and English. After teaching a few years, I decided to return to graduate school at UTSA to obtain a Master of Arts in Education with a certification in Educational Leadership. In 2008, I was excited to be offered the opportunity to open Vale Middle School as the English Coordinator. In 2012, I was offered an Assistant Principal position at Taft High School. I look forward to beginning my 12th year in education with NISD as the Assistant Principal at Taft High School.
First and foremost, I am an advocate for students and teachers to make Taft High School a successful place for learning. I look forward to working with the best students, staff, and community in San Antonio.
